DC is pushing to start offering sports betting before MD & VA…

There is a push to bring sports betting to the District before the states of Maryland and Virginia. DC Council Member Jack Evans has introduced registration to make this a real possibility.

The Sports Wagering Lottery Amendment Act of 2018 is the name of the legislation created by Council member Evans. Evans says if the DC City Council approves this before the end of the year, the city could begin sports betting in the Spring and capture the market and millions in revenue.
