We are getting closer to another government shutdown…

The fate of a government shutdown tonight is now in the hands of the Senate. Late last night the House approved a short-term spending plan. It would give lawmakers until February 16th to approve a long-term bill. This morning, however, there is word the Senate does not have enough votes to pass the measure. The sticking point immigration, Dreamers for Democrats and the wall for Republicans.

Lots of marches and rally’s planned in DC today into the weekend …

Thousands of teens are inside of the Capitol One Area for the Rally and mass ahead of the March for Life today. The March for Life will begin at Noon on the National Mall. Look for rolling street closures which began at 6 and will run until 3. Tomorrow at 11 it’s the Women’s March which will begin at the Lincoln Memorial. Organizers are expected 10,000 attendees, much lower than last years numbers.
