Graduation Gift In The Millions For New Morehouse Grads

School debt will be cleared for Morehouse students. Billionaire Robert Smith pledge over 40-million dollars to pay off school debt for those who graduated on Sunday from the historically black college.

A day later, its impact is still reverberating.  Billionaire investor Robert Smith vowed to pay off the student loan debts for the 2019 graduates of Morehouse College. Smith made the stunning proclamation Sunday as he delivered the commencement address at the historically black college.  Saying that “you great Morehouse men are bound only by the limits of your own conviction and creativity,” Smith asked students to use the money they will now save on their education to pay it forward to others.  Morehouse says Smith promised as much as 40-million-dollars to make sure each graduate left college debt-free.
