Smith made the stunning proclamation Sunday as he delivered the commencement address at the historically black college. Saying that “you great Morehouse men are bound only by the limits of your own conviction and creativity,” Smith asked students to use the money they will now save on their education to pay it forward to others. Morehouse says Smith promised as much as 40-million-dollars to make sure each graduate left college debt-free.
