Making Dreams Come True for a Group of Youngsters in The District

This morning we are helping to make the dreams come true for a group of youngsters in the District. Some students from Eliot Hine Middle School are seeking to head to Los Angeles to cover the 70thAnnual Creative Arts Emmy Awards.  But they need some help.  My guests this morning will be Mandrell Birks – Educator with the Eliot Hine Network and Malia Weedom – 8thGrade Student at Eliot Hine

The Eliot Hine Network is asking the public for help to raise money to attend the upcoming Creative Arts Emmy Awards in Los Angeles, California in September.  These budding journalists have their own radio network and have been traveling the country to hone their skills.  To help them get the $6,000 needed for the trip, visit here.
