Rapper Meek Mill Allegedly Banned From Philadelphia After Urging Rappers To Stop The Violence Autumn Joi Live November 16, 2020 at 5:05 pm in ENTERTAINMENT, TAKING IT TO THE STREETS Tweet Meek Mill, born and raised in Philadelphia, was one of the few local artists to make it out of a deadly neighborhood filled with gangs and street violence. Now, using his platform, he urges other local artists to stop the violence and he may give them a deal! After being released from prison, Meek has been pretty vocal about prison reform and keeping the peace in the community. He’s known for using his ‘Twitter Fingers’ to express concerns in the community or any current events that he wants to add his two cents to. Well this time, Philly rappers didn’t take well what Meek was offering. His tweets read “I’ll get all the main big artist in Philly a deal if they put them bodies behind them and squash they beefs. Got some hot young bulls from my city but they all beefing”. He continues and says it is “just an idea”. “I’ll push thru with my city if y’all make it a thing! It’s like 5 clicks that’s talented but they deep in! And get they most attention when they beefing! And when I say bodies I mean friends or family you lost!”. This proposal sounds good especially with all of the rappers we’ve lost to gun violence, or people in general that have lost their lives to such a senseless act. But Philly local rapper Poundside had different thoughts. “It’s time for you to PICK A SIDE. IS YOU ZOO OR NOT N****?”. Meek kindly responded and said he was not picking a side. This exchange between the two rappers resulted in Poundside banning Meek Mill from the Northside of Philly. It’s a shame that someone of Meek’s stature can’t offer a hand without being criticized or forced to pick sides. Tags: Gangs, Meek Mill, Philly, Poundside
