Teaching Financial Literacy to Our Youth

Teaching financial literacy to youth by giving them some real life problems.  That’s the goal of a program in Prince George’s County taught at Nicholas Orem Middle School.  My guest this morning is Mary Elizabeth Jones – Chair of the Mathematics Department at Nicholas Orem.  They are looking for some volunteers to help students learn about real-world financial planning

 Nicholas Orem Middle School is looking for volunteers to participate in its Junior Achievement Finance Park where volunteers would help youth answer general financial questions about life experiences.  Volunteers will be trained.   Click on this link to volunteer.  More information here:
