The United Way’s Do More 24 Campaign

Helping those in the greatest of need right in our own community. The United Way of the National Capital Area is pushing that message as part of the Do More 24 Campaign.  Rosie Allen-Herring, President and CEO of United Way of the National Capital Area is my guest and explains what this campaign is all about.

(United Way NCA) reminds local residents to think locally, give locally  by supporting Do More 24’s “Start Your Activism @ Home” – an urgent appeal for local residents to support nonprofit organizations servicing the metro-area’s most vulnerable citizens. Hundreds of nonprofits are preparing for the day-long community-wide event on Thursday, June 8th, where many of the region’s nonprofits and community organizations are scheduled to participate from the Washington, D.C., Maryland and Northern Virginia area and raise nearly $2 million.

Tune in to Taking it to the Streets, weekdays at 6:15am, 7:08am and 8:35am on the Steve Harvey Morning Show on 96.3 WHUR.
