There’s Plenty For The Entire Family To Enjoy in The DMV This Weekend

  • It’s Howard University’s 2017 Homecoming Weekend with a host of great events taking place. The Homecoming Parade starts at 10am down Georgia Ave. to Florida Ave. The Homecoming Football game has the Howard Bison taking on Morgan State.  Kick off is 1pm at Greene Stadium.  For all the details on all the homecoming events go here.


  • At Blues Alley check out the smooth sounds of Najee, Friday through Sunday for two shows each night, 8 & 10pm.


  • On Sunday, Bethesda Blues and Jazz Supper Club presents it’s Tribute to the music of Stephanie Mills, Chaka Khan and Aretha Franklin. Doors open at 5:30 and the show begins at 7:30pm.


  • This is your last weekend to see the Pulitzer Prize-Winning Classic, “Death of a Salesman” at the Fords Theatre. The final performance is this Sunday, October 22nd.   Go here for ticket information and show times.


  • The stage play “Intimate Apparel” is at the Everyman Theater in Baltimore, running through November 19th.  For ticket information go here.


  • On Sunday: It’s the Marine Corps Marathon
    The Marine Corps Marathon’s 42nd running begins between the Pentagon and Arlington Cemetery and concludes, fittingly, in front of the Marine Corps War Memorial. Runners will trot by iconic sites, exploring scenery that is wholly unique to DC. Registration is closed for the run, but spectators are more than welcome.  7:45 a.m. |  Free admission
