“Taking it to the Streets Weekend Haps”

Saturday Sept. 18th – Sunday Sept. 21st    

Today we are going to help you plan out your  weekend. Here are some events and activities for the entire family to enjoy.

  • Today you can join us for a day of Music Therapy in the Park with the U.S Department of Veterans Affairs and the Capitol Excellence “Soul Stirrers” perform today at 3pm at the National Sylvan Theater on the grounds of the Washington Monument.
  • Tonight at 5:30 you can join Joe Gorham at the Bethesda Blues and Jazz Supper club for the Washington DC screen of the movie “Take me to the River” this documentary is about the soul of American music.  The movie is based on the legends of Stax Records, starring Terrence Howard,  Bobby “Blue” Bland,  James Alexander,  Al Bell, William Bell and many more.  Joe Gorham will interview Al Bell and William Bell and then William Bell will have an intimate concert afterwards.
  • Now, Friday kicks off the Oprah Winfrey’s “ Life You Want Tour” and Life Trailblazers Iyanla Vanzant, Rob Bell, Elizabeth Gilbert, Deepak Chappa, MD and Mark Nepo will be here to help take your life to the next level. There are a few tickets left so don’t miss this event of a lifetime.  You can get tickets at
  • On Saturday,  Triscina Grey will be at the Rockville Giant located at 12051 on Rockville Pike from 10am-12noon.  So, if you’re in the area stop by and see our host of the Midday.
  • Sunday, it’s the WOBBLE ON THE WATER part 2. Frank Ski and the whole crew Frank, Mo, Joe and DJ Herb will all be on the boat to meet and greet with you and party on the Potomac. We set sail at 6pm and will rock the boat until 9pm. Visit for tickets.
