Black Youth Suicide Rates Are On The Rise

In this week’s Talk Around Town on NBC 4, I joined Pat Lawson Muse and Leon Harris to discuss the increasing number of African American youth taking their own lives. A study by the American Medical Association shows a doubling of the numbers of teen suicides between 1993 and 2015.If you know of a youth in need of help, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-573-TALK (8255).
