The days following the sudden passing of Kim Porter, Diddy and his family remained relatively quiet on social media until yesterday.

Diddy and Porter’s son Quincy, broke their silence Sunday with Instagram posts expressing their disbelief and sadness about the passing of Porter who died Thursday.

Diddy first shared a video of him and Porter captioning it with, “for the last three days I’ve been trying to wake up out of this nightmare. But I haven’t. I don’t know what I’m going to do without you baby…”

He made four other posts all with pictures and videos of Porter, him, and the family.

Actor and eldest son Quincy posted a picture of him, Porter, and his younger twin sisters with the caption, “I am broken…”

The family was just a handful of people who were affected by the death of Porter. Many celebrities posted on Instagram, from Jamie Foxx, to Janelle Monae, to Rihanna, to Kevin Hart, and countless others, paying homage to Porter by sending condolences and prayers to the family.

For some celebrities, the death of Porter hit closer to home. Kimora Lee Simmons, model and close friend of Porter, posted several pictures of the two expressing how surreal the untimely passing of her friend has been for her.

“At your homegoing celebration today it became all too real that you are not coming back. I cannot stop crying but I will be strong for you. Gone WAY too soon…”

At your homegoing celebration today it became all too real that you are not coming back. I cannot stop crying but I will be strong for you. Gone WAY too soon. Wtf. I am in shock. To my beautiful friend and sister, I love you.❤️ This is unbelievable. When I first heard the news, I was angry that someone would play such a stupid ass joke. They said you were in your room sleeping. Aoki and I rushed to your house to tell you to ‘get up and come your ass outside!’ But soon as i arrived I realized you would not come. Every room I walk into now I think, “ok, I will just go and get Kim.” But I see that I cannot. This is all too close and too sad. Your light was a beaming beacon for so many. You are A WHOLE MOOD! You are a girls girl which is why we’ve stayed close always. We are so alike in so many ways, we shared clothes, food, attitudes, friends, enemies, the greatest happinesses and the worst sadnesses. We’ve been married, given birth, raised families, gotten divorced, experienced death and everything in between-together. You are a great mama. Between us we have 8 kids who are all cousins. We are, and will always be-a family. I will look after yours and you will look after and guide us all. What a beautiful, loving, sassy soul to have lost. We love you forever. May God bless your journey. We will never stop crying for you❤️🕊 #kimporter #forevermylady #rip 😢 #blackexcellence 👑✨

Even though family members, friends, and acquaintances have posted on social media paying tribute to Porter with heartfelt messages, Christian Combs, son of Diddy and Porter, has yet to post. His girlfriend however made a post thanking Porter for Combs and promises to continue to take care of him.

So far the family has had a memorial service for Porter at Diddy’s house, where videos can be found on Diddy’s Instagram story.
