George Zimmerman claims he was attacked and threatened by a man in a Florida restaurant after being recognized. Patrons and witnesses of the alleged attack told officers George Zimmerman began bragging about killing Trayvon Martin before the altercation. Zimmerman was acquitted in 2012 of murdering unarmed, black teen Trayvon Martin.

Zimmerman called local law enforcement after claiming he felt his life was in danger. The owner of the establishment banned Zimmerman and said he is no longer welcome. The man may face charges for the attack.

Zimmerman auctioned off the gun used to murder Trayvon Martin in May. Bidding began at $100,000.

“First and foremost, I would like to thank and give the glory to God for a successful auction that has raised funds for several worthy causes,” Zimmerman said in a blog message.
