Janet Jackson, Mary J. Blige, Naomi Campbell, Judith Jamison, Lena Waithe, Tarana Burke and others were honored at this year’s Black Girls Rock awards show for excelling in their careers and paving the way for the next generation of black and brown girls.

Fantasia, Jazmine Sullivan, Ledisi, Cynthia Erivo, Stephanie Mills and Yolanda Adams paid tribute to the late Aretha Franklin. Catch their performance here.

Our Forever FLOTUS Michelle Obama urged the importance of voting in the upcoming election. She, along with a number of A-list celebrities and friends, are using their star power to get Americans to not only vote but register to vote.
