Paramount Networks has released the first trailer for its six-part documentary series focusing on the life and untimely passing of Trayvon Martin.

The series, executive produced by Jay-Z, is based on the book written by Martin’s parents Sybrina Fulton and Tracy MartinRest in Power: The Enduring Life of Trayvon Martin. The new docu-series will feature an inside look at Martin’s life as a young black boy with home videos, family photos, intimate family interviews. It also includes commentary from Angela Rye, Rev. Al Sharpton, Angela Davis, and more.

Martin’s death in 2012 sparked protests, and became one of the incidents and untimely deaths that sparked the global Black Lives Matter movement. Martin was killed in Florida by neighborhood watch member George Zimmerman. The then 17-year-old would have been 23 this year.

The documentary gained some popularity after George Zimmerman reportedly threatened to attack Jay-Z and “feed him to an alligator” because he claimed Jay-Z’s production crew filming the documentary was “harassing” his family. Zimmerman told the Blast about the incident, “I know how to handle people who f**k with me, I have since February 2012,” referencing Martin’s death.

The series will premiere on television later this month.
