In most recent years celebrities have begun to use their platform more frequently to speak out politically. Today celebrities like John Legend, Alicia Keys, Amy Schumer, Lena Dunham, and more will come together in the nation’s capitol to protest the Supreme Court nomination of Brett Kavanaugh.

Many protests regarding Kavanaugh’s nomination have taken place due the the sexual misconduct allegations from Dr. Blasely Ford. Following Senate testimonies and a FBI investigation the final vote on the nomination is scheduled for tomorrow.

The protest event has been titled, Bravery is Contagious which is what Senator Leahy said to Dr. Ford following her Senate testimony. Senator Leahy went on to say, “You sharing your story is going to have a lasting, positive impact on so many survivors in our country.

The events website says, “We anticipate a vote on the Senate floor to confirm Brett Kavanaugh as early as Friday. It is critical we make our voices heard on the ground in Washington on Thursday.”

The website goes on to say, “If there was ever a moment when the voice of the people can come together in concert to change the fate of our nation, this is it.”

The protest will march to the U.S. Disctrict Courts today at 12:30. Celebs are expected to address the crowd around 1:45. People are also using the hashtag #CancelKavanaugh to share what’s going on at the protest.
