Several Philadelphia Eagles Have Declined Trump’s Invitation To The White House

It has always been tradition for the Superbowl champs to head to Disney and the White House to celebrate their victory but due to the tense political climate with the Trump administration, several Philadelphia Eagles players have declined their invitation to the White House. To date Torrey Smith, Malcolm Jenkins and Chris Longwill not be joining their teammates at the White House for the annual festivities.

Torrey Smith took to Twitter after receiving criticism for his decision to opt out.

Malcolm Jenkins said in an interview with CNN’s New Day that he has no plans to attend.

If you recall last year after winning the NBA Championships, both Steph Curry and Kevin Durant turned down the White House’s invitation. Trump shared his disappointment on Twitter.

Don’t be surprised if other Philadelphia Eagles decline Trump’s invitation in the coming days.
