Sights and Sounds of Star-Studded DC Emancipation Day 2018

Saturday, thousands of DC residents were in attendance to commemorate DC’s Emancipation Day 2018. There was a parade, concert and a fireworks show – FUN for the entire family. The event was put on by Mayor Muriel Bowser and the DC government. Musical guests Brandy, Angie Stone, Big Daddy Kane, Jessie Smollett, Howard Hewett, Allure, Ayre Rayde, Rare Essence, DJ Rico, Classically Dope, Luther Relives, Drew Tillman, and Lightshow took the main stage to perform. Actress Regina King, spoken word artist Wes Felton and other talent were also there to join in the festivities.
