Barricade Situation With Accused Rapist Continues, Kavanaugh And Blasey Ford Testify Before A Senate Committee

Barricade situation with accused rapist continues…

The barricade situation with police and a man with a knife is in it’s 11th hour. It started yesterday around 9 last night in the 3300 block of Mount Pleasant Street in Northwest. Arlington County Police were there to serve a search warrant for forcible rape. The man inside of the home refused to come out.

At sometime during the standoff the male suspect inside of the apartment indicated that he had a knife and he was threatening to hurt himself. The suspect’s name has not been released and reportedly no one else is inside of the home. DC Police are working with Arlington Police and negotiators to get the man to safely exit the apartment.

Kavanaugh and Blasey Ford testify before a Senate Committee…

The historic hearing into claims of sexual assault by Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh began earlier this morning. There were long lines out side of the U.S. Capitol this morning hoping to get a seat. Unfortunately the room that the hearing will take place in inside the Senate can only hold a few dozen people.

Dr. Christine Blasey Ford will testify first. Judge Kavanaugh will be able to respond. According to early reports they can talk as long as they like. Each of the 11 Republicans and 10 Democrats in the Senate Judiciary Committee will get 5 minutes to ask a question.

Blasey Ford and Kavanaugh will be questioned by Rachel Mitchell a Republican from Arizona who has decades of experience prosecuting sex crimes.
