Believe It Or Not: A Michelle Obama Birthday Story

You may have read this before in some shape or fashion. It’s one of those things that circulate on the internet and it’s often changed for different occasions and anniversaries. Is it a factual anecdote of the First Couple or is it a purely a fictional story?

Nobody really knows if it’s true. But, because of what we now know about Michelle Obama…it’s easy to believe why it could.

One year President Obama took Michelle out for a casual dinner for her Birthday at a restaurant that wasn’t too luxurious. When they were seated, the owner of the restaurant asked the President’s secret service if he could please speak to the First Lady in private. They obliged and Michelle had a conversation with the owner.

Following this conversation President Obama asked Michelle, “Why was he so interested in talking to you.?” She informed Barack that in her teenage years, the man had been madly in love with her. President Obama then said, “So if you had married him, you would now be the co-owner of this lovely restaurant?”

Michelle responded, “No. If I had married him, he would now be the President of the United States. President Obama nodded and smiled and said, “You know, he very well may have.”

The moral of this story is clear, ‘It’s a woman that makes a man who he is’.

It’s a cute story whether you believe it or not. We thought it was a fun way to celebrate the First Lady…for who she is….on her Birthday.
