UPDATE: Bills Safety Damar Hamlin After Collapsing On Field, NFL Suspends Game VS Bengals

Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field during the game between the Bills versus The Bengals. He was given CPR on the field for what was reported for 9 minutes. After being put in an ambulance to leave the field, the team took a knee out of solidarity and love for their brother.

“I’ve never seen anything like that before,” Kurt Warner said on the NFL Radio broadcast.

The Bills announced his diagnosis of cardiac arrest early Tuesday morning:

Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest following a hit in our game versus the Bengals,” the Bills announced via a statement. “His heartbeat was restored on the field and he was transferred to the UC Medical Center for further testing and treatment. He is currently sedated and listed in critical condition.”

Hamlin is 24 years old. In 2021 he was the sixth draft pick for Pittsburgh. This season he’s been starting for the Bills for three weeks.

Many are sharing their outpour of love and respect for Hamiln. Former Washington quarterback Robert Griffin III tweeted, “Please don’t share video of the Damar Hamlin play. Share this because we are all praying for him and his family.”

We are sending our prayers to Damar Hamlin and his family.
