FBI Investigating Racist Incidents On AU College Campus

The FBI is now assisting the investigation into recent racist-fueled incidents on the campus of American University. It comes after several bananas were found hanging in nooses around campus early Monday. Officials are labeling it a racially motivated hate crime. Police have released surveillance footage of a man they believe could be a suspect. Campus police are offering a one-thousand dollar reward for information leading to an arrest.

Man Found Dead Outside Suitland Gas Station

Prince George’s County Police are investigating an apparent homicide in Suitland. Authorities say a man was found outside a gas station early this morning in the 47-hundred block of Silver Hill Road. He had gunshot wounds to his upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene. A witness tells FOX-5 that it didn’t seem that the victim knew the shooter.

Sighting Of Man Prompts Search Of Woods

A new ground search is underway in Howard County, Maryland for an escaped prisoner who’s been on the run since last week. Authorities say someone spotted an unknown man this morning, which prompted a search in a patch of woods near where David Watson escaped. Watson has been on the run since early Friday, when he was able to get loose while being taken to Clifton Perkins Hospital. Watson was serving time for attempted murder of police officers.

Comey Agonized Over Announcing Re-Opening Of Clinton Probe

The head of the FBI says he agonized over his decision to announce a reopening of the Hillary Clinton email investigation, eleven days before the presidential election. In a Senate hearing today, FBI Director James Comey said the thought that he may have influenced the election makes him “mildly nauseous.” Comey also defended his decision. He said concealing the discovery of new emails before the election would have been “catastrophic.” Shortly before the election, Comey said nothing new turned up in the email probe.
