Furniture, Cash and More Given Away to Area Residents at WHUR’s Housing Expo

Thousands of area residents were definitely in for a treat at WHUR’s Achieve and Protect Your Dream Housing Expo & Home Show. This year we were in Washington, DC and Prince George’s County on the same day. Attendees walked away with a free living room makeover, thousands in cash, money toward a down payment on a home, and much more for participating in the housing expo and home show.

HGTV‘s Egypt Sherrod and our own Molette Green hosted the DC event at the Walter E. Carter Convention Center. The Flipping Virgins star shared important tips on how to successfully flip a home, when to invest in a property, how  one should budget for a flip and more. The duo even held a Q&A session with the audience.

HGTV‘s Ashley & Andy Williams and our own EZ Street hosted our PG event at the Prince George’s County Sports & Learning Complex. The Flip Or Flop Fort Worth couple shared their personal story of how they got started in the flipping game as well as when and where to splurge on your next flip. They also held a Q&A session with the audience.

We were also joined by the Jr. Flips crew. This group of young, ambitious, hard-working kid flippers has earned national acclaim. Oprah and Steve Harvey are amazed by the talented kids and have offered advice on how hard work pays off.

Lillie’s Furniture Gallerie gave away a living room makeover – complete with a plush sofa, two chairs and a table – to one lucky attendee. For those not lucky enough to win the makeover, Lillie’s is offering a generous discount to those who stop by her new store front in Laurel, Md.

It’s projected thousands were in attendance between both events. This event would not have been possible without our generous sponsors including the DC Office of Housing & Community Development, Bennett Realty Solutions, The Bryant Team, and Lillie’s Furniture Gallerie. THANK YOU so much for your support and we look forward to your continued support at next year’s housing expo.
