Police release the name of 3 year old shot to death in S.E. last night…

Detectives believe a 7 year old boy playing with a handgun he found in a
home on 46th Place in S.E. accidentally shot and killed 3 year old Dalis
Cox last night. No charges have been filed thus far and its unclear who the gun
belonged to.

Ward 5 Council member is hosting a Crime Safety Summit tonight…

In response to the spike of violent crimes in the District tonight Ward 5
Council member Kenyan McDuffie is holding a Public Safety & Crime
Summit to discuss what is being done to keep residents safe. Tonight’s
meeting is from 6:30 to 8:30 at the New Samaritan Baptist Church on
Florida Avenue in N.E..

Bond for former Cincinnati police officer set at $1 Million Dollars …

Bond has been set at $1 Million Dollars for former Cincinnati
campus police officer Ray Tensing who is charged with the murder of
unarmed African American motorist Samuel Dubose. He made his first court
appearance this morning and entered a “Not Guilty” plea. Tensing faces life in prison if convicted on all counts.

Several Confederate Flags left outside MLK Church in Atlanta…

News sources out of Atlanta are reporting the discovery of confederate flags left outside of the former church of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.. Right now, police are investigating several confederate flags placed outside of Ebenezer Baptist Church and also at the Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Non Violence also in Atlanta, Georgia.
