DC Police respond to two separate shootings…

Officer responding to a shot spotter were are fired at by 5 people in an SUV in S.E.. It happened last night just after mid night on 6th Street near Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary school. Several arrests have been made. Also in S.E. DC Police were called to a quadruple shooting in the 5100 block of Call Place. Three teen females and a male were shot. They are all expected to survive.

President Obama is set to speak at Dallas Police Officers memorial…

The parents of the accused dallas police shooter Micah Johnson say they are at a loss for words over the incident and they didn’t see it coming. His parents say he was a changed man after serving in Afghanistan. Later today President Obama will speak at a special memorial for the fallen officers afterwards he will meet with Law Enforcement Officials and Civil Rights Leaders.

Mayor Bowser discusses the search for a new school leader…

DC Mayor Muriel Bowser is set to discuss the Districts plan to find a new
School Chancellor. Today’s 2pm press conference will be held in the Wilson Building. The Mayor will also discuss the latest on DC Statehood.
