A local journalist killed in S.E. is remembered as the search for her killer continues…

DC Police are planning to return to the location where 27 year old local journalist Charnice Milton was shot and killed last year as she changed buses in S.E. They plan to hand out flyers. Chief Lanier says its just one of several things that they are doing in the search for her killer. The Milton family is planning to have a 7:40 vigil for Charnice at Good Hope and Naylor Roads tonight.

You could hear alot of thunder in the District this holiday weekend…

It’s the start of the Memorial weekend and that means hot dogs, hamburgers, family and “rolling thunder”. Thousands of bikers are set to flock to the District to pay their respect to Veterans and soldiers who remain missing. The main ride takes place on Sunday morning from the Pentagon to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. If you have plans to drive to your destination. Triple A Mid Atlantic says the best time to go at this point is after 8 tonight. The worse time today will be between 2 and 6pm.

DC pools open….

Mom and dad the public pools and spray parks in the District will officially open tomorrow. For the holiday weekend the pools will be open from Noon to 6pm.

Louisiana past the first of it’s kind “Blue Lives Matter” law…

It is now a hate crime if you attack a police officer. Louisiana becomes the first state in the nation making violence against police a hate crime. The bill which was signed into law yesterday by Gov. John Bel Edwards is called “Blue Lives Matter”. It also includes Fire Fighters and first responder’s.
