Prince George’s County Officials warn, stay off metro during the 2nd phase of “Safe Track”….

The commute in the metro is about to get even worse for metro train riders and those on the roads. Early this morning Prince George’s County Executive Rushern Baker, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser and Metro GM Paul Wiedefeld held a press conference to urge commuters to telework or car pool during the two week period. Phase II of Metro’s Safe Track Plan starts on Saturday and it will close service on the Orange, Blue & Silver lines at the Eastern Market station between Benning Road and Minnesota Avenue.

Acquittal motion denies in Caesar Goodson trial…

All 7 charges filed against Baltimore Police Officer Caesar Goodson in the death of Freddie Gray will stand. The judge denied a motion to acquit him. Goodson’s defense team is now presenting their case. Goodson faces 2nd murder and misconduct charges in last year death of Gray while riding in a police transport van.

Obama and Biden head to Orlando…

President Obama and Vice President Biden are in route to Orlando, Florida. They will meet with survivors and the victim families of Sunday’s night club shooting spree. The CIA Director warns we could see more attacks like this at home. There’s still no word if a grand jury will decide if criminal charges should be filed against the wife of the suspected shooter, this after revealing to the FBI that she tried to talk him out of the killings.

Blackbox from missing Egypt Air plane has been found…

Egyptian Officials have confirmed that the black box of missing Egypt Air Airbus 320 has been found in the Mediterranean Sea. 66 people and crew members were on board when the plane in route to Ciaro crashed.
