5 JV Damascus football players charged with rape or attempted rape…

Five Damascus High School JV football players have been arrested and charged with rape or attempted rape. It stems from a hazing incident that involved a broom stick that was used on four fellow team makes. The alleged incident happened last week in the boys locker room at the school.

Prosecutors say the boy are being charged as juveniles and not as adult. That has some in the community asking why. The boys have not been identified because of their age. Montgomery County Police Chief Tom Manager says there could be other arrests and more victims identified.

Investigators say the incident is similar to a scene in the very popular Netflix television show “13 Reasons Why”.
