There’s Plenty To Do During The Thanksgiving Day Weekend


  • On Friday night, The Birchmere presents the Diva, the legendary Chaka Khan at the Warner Theatre. Show time is 8pm.


  • On Saturday The Birchmere presents Kirk Franklin & Ledisi: The Rebel, The Soul & The Saint Tour with special guest PJ Morton at DAR Constitution Hall.  Hosted by our own Jacquie Gales-Web.  Show time is 7:30pm.    In this season of giving we kindly ask that you to bring a non-perishable food item to the concert for those less fortunate.  The Capital Area Food Bank will be at the door to accept your donations. Hunger does not go away the day after the holiday. We thank you for your generosity in helping those less fortunate.


  • On Saturday join our very own Triscina Grey as she hosts The 14th Annual All Black Affair featuring SWV, taking place at the Washington Renaissance Hotel. the party kicks off a 8pm.


  • Bethesda Blues and Jazz Supper Club presents Kindred The Family Soul on Friday night door open at 6, show time is 8pm. Then on Sunday it’s A Gospel According to Jazz Christmas Tour with two shows 4 & 8pm.


  • On Sunday at Capital One Arena, it’s the Great Xscape Tour with special guest Monica and Tamar Braxton. Doors open at 6, the concert kicks off at 7pm.


  • Stokley of Mint Condition is at the legendary Howard Theatre Friday night. Doors open at 6:30, and the show begins at 7:30pm


  • Check out the the holiday classic “A Christmas Carol” at the Ford’s Theatre running through December 31st. Go to for tickets and show times.
