This Morning on Taking it to the Streets

This Labor Day weekend is packed full of fun activates for you and your whole family.

• Tonight, The United Communities Against Poverty also known as UCAP, is hosting a Wine & Music Festival to help those less fortunate, at the Oxon Hill Manor in Oxon Hill, Maryland and is featuring my good friend Marcus Johnson. It all kicks off at 6pm. For information and tickets, visit

• Also tonight, come hang out with Triscina Grey for an “After Work Summer Jam” at the lounge at Colony south in Clinton Maryland. The party starts at 6pm.

• And, Dawn Robinson of En Vogue and Lucy Pearl will be at the Howard Theatre. The show starts at 8pm

• Now, tomorrow, Spyro Gyro will be in concert at the Bethesda Blues and Jazz Supper Club this Friday for a great night of music. The show starts at 7:30pm

• The Earth Wind and Fire Tribute band will be at the Howard Theatre this Saturday ….. The show starts at 7:30pm

• Also, Jeff Bradshaw will be having his Birthday Celebration at the Bethesda Blues and Jazz and Supper Club along with a few special guest, so come celebrate with him…..the show starts at 8pm

• Now on Sunday, Anthony Hamilton will be at the Event Center At Hollywood Casino in Charlestown races. Showtime 7pm.

• And finally on Sunday, you can check out the free Labor Day Capitol Concert at the U. S Capitol, featuring the National Symphony Orchestra. It all takes place on the West Lawn of the U.S Capital. Gates open at 3pm and the concert starts at 8pm.

• You can check out any of the five Labor Day weekend Midsummer Night’s Dream performances for free at the Shakespeare Theatre Company’s annual Free for all event. You can go their web site for a free ticket lottery or wait in line two hours before show tine when they begin handing out tickets.

• This Weekend you can also go and support the Washington Nationals and the make the push for October playoff as they battle the Atlanta Braves for a four series kicking off tonight and going until Sunday. Then on Monday they have a 3 game series starting with the New York Mets until Wednesday.
