Trump Withdraws U.S. From Iran Nuke Deal

Washington, DC – President Trump is withdrawing the U.S. from the Iran nuclear deal. The agreement between Iran and six world powers lifted sanctions that crippled Iran’s economy in return for tight limits on the Islamic Republic’s nuclear energy program. Making the announcement from the White House, Trump said the current deal allows Iran to continue to enrich uranium and gave the regime billions of dollars. Trump called the current deal defective at its core.

Shooting Suspect’s Wife Tells Police He Held Her Over Weekend

Brookeville, MD – The wife of the suspect who shot and killed three people in a Montgomery County home says he was holding her hostage in their home over the weekend. She told investigators she finally managed to flee to a neighbor’s home in the 22-thousand block of Brown Farm Way in Brookeville. Police say 41-year-old Christopher Snyder then followed her there where he shot and killed three people. His wife and two others escaped unharmed. Snyder then barricaded himself inside his home across the street before turning the gun on himself last night as police breached the front door.

Body Is Pulled From Potomac River

Alexandria, VA – Authorities are investigating after a person’s body was pulled from the Potomac River. The discovery was made today near the Woodrow Wilson Bridge by Alexandria police along with Montgomery County police, who have an open missing person’s case. Details of the case are not being made available. An age or gender of the victim has not been released.

Defense Requests Facebook Evidence Ban For Upcoming Trial

College Park, MD – Lawyers for a man accused in a murder at the University of Maryland last year are asking that social media evidence be banned from his upcoming trial. A now-deleted Facebook page called “Alt-Reich: Nation” had been linked to 23-year-old Sean Urbanski, accused of fatally stabbing a black student who was visiting the College Park campus. The “Washington Post” reports defense lawyers are asking the judge to bar the evidence, arguing it’s not relevant to the trial. Prosecutors say Urbanski killed Richard Collins the Third, and that the crime was racially motivated.
