Often called the forgotten Ward of DC… Ward 8 is in the midst of a long-awaited transformation with new housing, restaurants, offices, and retail popping up. But while the economic boom is welcome news for some, others are cautiously optimistic about what all the newness will mean for them.

Join Harold Fisher Wednesday, March 15th at 7 pm for “DC’s Forgotten Gem.”  It’s our monthly WHUR, WHUT-TV edition of the Daily Drum. Hear from long-time Ward 8 residents, newcomers, and local leaders trying to carry out the delicate balance of revitalizing the East of the Anacostia River.
