Track Worker Dies After Being Struck By Train In Bowie

A track worker was hit and killed by an Amtrak train this morning near the Bowie State University MARC station. The victim was found near the tracks about a half-mile from the station. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating.

A Prince William County Daycare Teacher Accused Of Sexual Assault

Prince William County police say that over the past year Taylor Keith Boykin, of Nokesville, inappropriately touched at least four young girls at the Minnieland Academy in Bristow, a daycare facility where Boykin is an assistant teacher. Police say the girls are five-years-old. Boykin is in jail, held without bond.  He faces charges of sexual battery.

Driver In Toronto Van Attack Charged With Murder

The man who drove a van onto a Toronto sidewalk on Monday, killing ten people, appeared in court today.  He’s been charged with murder.  Police say they still have no motive for why 25-year-old Alek Minassian plowed his van into pedestrians over a stretch of 16 blocks.
