Biden Talks More Vaccines and Voting Rights

Biden also calls Republican efforts to restrict voting rights “sick.”

(Washington, DC) — President Biden is holding his first news conference since taking office. He opened with a progress report on COVID vaccinations. Biden reminded everyone he met his goal of getting 100 millions shots in the arms of Americans in his first 100 days in office. He said his new goal will be 200 millions shots in his first 100 days.

Biden also calls Republican efforts to restrict voting rights “sick.” He claimed most Republicans he knows also think these efforts are “despicable.” He said the Republican moves to address voting issues make “Jim Crow look like Jim Eagle.” He said things like closing polling places at 5 p.m. when most people are working is wrong.
