Racine alleges DoorDash pocketed the tips and used it to offset what they paid workers. In March, the AG’s office launched an investigation into the matter. He is seeking to recover millions of dollars in tips from them to return to workers.

Washington, DC Attorney General Karl Racine has filed suit again the food delivery company DoorDash. The reason, Racine says the company has not been giving drivers the tips that customers thought was going to them.

Racine alleges DoorDash pocketed the tips and used it to offset what they paid workers. In March, the AG’s office launched an investigation into the matter. He is seeking to recover millions of dollars in tips from them to return to workers. The AG calls the company’s model for tips is “deceptive” as customers didn’t have a clear understanding of where their money was going.

DoorDash has responded by saying the accusations have no factual basis and that they have been working with a third-party vendor to make sure all workers get their customer tips.
