Seniors Banned From Prom Over Racist “Promposal”

The Instagram shows the students holding a sign that reads “If I were black, I’d be picking cotton, but I’m white so I’m picking you for the prom”.

It seems to be never ending.There has been yet another racist issue in the headlines related to kids in school.

In Pleasantville, New York school leaders at Westchester County have banned a group of students who took part in a disturbing “promposal”.

The Instagram shows the students holding a sign that reads “If I were black, I’d be picking cotton, but I’m white so I’m picking you for the prom”.


The school systems superintendent immediately put out a statement denouncing the act and saying that they take this issue very seriously. When asked a number of students at the school say they were shocked and disappointed by the racist post.
