Closing Arguments Soon In R. Kelly Trial

Court officials say the singer will not be taking the stand before the defense rests its case in a New York City courtroom.

(New York, NY)  —  Closing arguments could begin as early as this afternoon in R. Kelly’s sex crimes trial in New York City.  Court officials say the singer will not be taking the stand before the defense rests its case in a New York City courtroom.  It’s been a month of detailed and graphic testimony from men and women accusing the disgraced artist of sexual abuse, committed when they were teenagers.  A witness for the prosecution testified R. Kelly sexually abused late R&B singer Aaliyah, who he later illegally married when she was 15.
