(Fairfax, VA) — Virginia congressmen Gerry Connolly says two members of his staff were attacked by a person with a baseball bat this morning. The Democrat said on Twitter that the individual entered his District Office asked for Connolly and then proceeded to attack the staff members. The person is in custody and the two victims were taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Connolly said he has the best team in Congress and it’s devastating that someone would commit an act of violence against them.
