(Suitland, MD) — Don’t be surprised if you see members of the DC Guardian Angels riding Green Line trains this weekend. The crime prevention group is planning to be on patrol Friday and Saturday nights between the Branch Avenue Station and Gallery Place in hopes of discouraging criminals from targeting riders. The Guardian Angels are working with about two dozen volunteers right now but hope to recruit up to 100. Metro leaders say they appreciate the extra help in keeping riders safe.
