(Washington, DC) — More details are filtering out about last night’s crash involving a U-Haul truck outside the White House. Witnesses say the driver rammed into the barriers on 16th Street on the north side of Lafayette Square twice shortly before 10:00, sending people scrambling as they realized it was no accident. Nineteen-year-old Sai Kandula of Chesterfield, Missouri was quickly arrested and faces a long list of federal charges. Investigators later seized a red flag with a Nazi symbol on it and say Kandula made threatening statements about the White House. The bomb squad was called in over fears the truck may have contained explosives, but none were found.
