(Washington, DC) — A D.C. Police officer is facing a possible life sentence for sexually abusing a child. Charles Johnson was convicted yesterday of 13 crimes dating back to 2019. Prosecutors say the victim was his ex-girlfriend’s daughter, just nine-years-old at the time. They all lived together and the 29-year-old allegedly took advantage of the girl for two years when they were alone. Police say he’s suspended without pay and his termination is “pending.”
