On Sunday evening, a car crashed into a generator at the Adventist HealthCare Fort Washington Medical Center in Prince George’s County, Maryland.
The crash damaged a small building that houses the medical center’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU), forcing the relocation of eight patients. Some of the patients were taken to other parts of the hospital, while others were taken to different hospitals.
Eight ICU patients were relocated to other parts of the hospital and other hospitals. The ICU is closed until repairs can be made to the building and the generator. The Prince George’s County Fire Department responded to the crash and extinguished a small fire that started. The car did not crash through the building but did damage the structure.
