(Baltimore, MD) — A verdict is reached in the so-called squeegee murder trial in Baltimore. A city jury today found 16-year-old Tavon Scott guilty of voluntary manslaughter and two handgun counts in the death of a motorist last summer near the Inner Harbor. However, the jury acquitted the teen on first- and second-degree murder charges. Scott, who was 14 at the time, was charged as an adult with shooting and killing Timothy Reynolds after he swung a baseball bat at a group of squeegee workers. Attorney Warren Brown says they’ll appeal the verdict and they’re hoping the case will be transferred to juvenile court for sentencing.
