Age Limits For Federal Elected Officials?

At 80 years old, President Biden is the oldest President in history. California U.S. Senate Democrat Diane Finestein is 90. Republican Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is 81. Vermont Independent Senator Bernie Sanders is also 81. There are 12 members of Congress over the age of 80 including DC Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton. There’s been a lot of discussion about aging federal lawmakers, including very public incidents for senators McConnell and Finestein questioning whether they should step down. Should there be an age limit for federal office holders.
