This is an important Wellness Wednesday conversation. You may not hear a lot about it, unless it affects you or someone you care about. But sickle cell disease is still very much around. According to the CDC, it impacts more than 100-thousand Americans, mostly people of color. This is Sickle Cell Awareness Month and we’re going to take a detailed look at this disease, what it is, how it’s treated and how those who have it, live with it.
