(Washington, DC) — More than 23-thousand runners from DC, all 50 states and 63 countries will be taking part in Sunday’s Marine Corps Marathon. The 48th edition opens with the 50K race at 7:15, followed by the wheelchair division at 7:50 and the marathon starts at 7:55. The 26-point-two-mile race starts in Arlington and meanders through DC before wrapping up at the Marine Corps War Memorial in Rosslyn. Dozens of road closures will be in effect in Arlington County and DC, but Metrorail is opening two hours early to help get everyone in and out easily.
