Dave Dickinson, affectionately known as “Super Dave”, passed away Saturday, October 28th after a brief battle with cancer. 

Dave had a stellar radio career, having worked at several stations up and down the East Coast,  including here at 96.3 WHUR. 

While at 96.3 WHUR, he led the station to several Crystal Awards, a Marconi Award from the National Association of Broadcasters, and a Stellar Award.

Dave became WHUR’s Program Director, a position he held until 2010. The recipient of numerous industry awards, Dave loved music and radio. 

He loved WHUR, and we loved him back.  It is with profound sadness that we mourn his passing.  But we take joy in the great memories of a well-lived life and his tremendous impact on this radio station and many others. 

WHUR sends our heartfelt condolences to Dave’s family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. 

Rest in power, Super Dave.  Keep the music playing!!!
