(Glenarden, MD) — A PG County school community is beaming with pride after students earned the top ranking for their performance on statewide assessment tests. Glenarden Woods Elementary finished at the head of the class for the 2023 Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program exams, beating out more than 850 other elementary schools across Maryland. The achievement is not only a first for a PG County elementary school but is also significant since the student population at Glenarden Woods is 90-percent Black or Latinx.
