(Thursday, June 20, 2024) – Prince George’s County police announced today they have arrested 29-year-old Dajuon Meniefield of Bowie in the Saturday shooting outside Potomac High School in Oxon Hill, Maryland.
Meniefield is charged with second degree murder in the killing of 33-year-old Christopher Mozee. Police say the two men knew each other and the shooting resulted from some kind of dispute. A five-year-old girl was also injured in the gunfire.
The shooting outraged many in the community as it occurred during a charity football game.
Police say the department’s fugitive unit, with the help from Hagerstown police, were able to track down Meniefield.
