(Monday, July 15, 2024) – Just in time for the start of the Republican National Convention, Donald Trump has chosen U.S. Senator JD Vance of Ohio to be his running mate as he looks to make a comeback to the White House.
JD Vance is a 39-year-old Republican in his first term in the Senate. Born in Middletown, Ohio, Vance rose to prominence with his memoir “Hillbilly Elegy,” a 2016 best seller. The choice, announced on social media, comes less than 48 hours after Trump survived an assassination attempt in Butler, Pa.
