Celtics star Jaylen Brown got caught trash-talking on Bronny James’ skillset.

Brown was attending Monday’s NBA Summer League game between the Celtics and Lakers and was caught on video saying “I don’t think Bronny is a pro.” After the clip went viral, Brown posted “Bronny has all the tools around him to be successful I look forward to watching his growth.”

Of course, Brown isn’t the only one doubting Bronny’s NBA potential, during his years as a freshman for USC he averaged just 4 points a game. This caused many to believe he likely wouldn’t have been drafted if he had not been for his famous father.

Laker Coach JJ Redick in a recent interview said, “He’s a development player. That’s how we’re looking at Bronny. He’s certainly going to spend time with the Lakers. He will spend time as well in the G League,”

James came in as the 55th pick to the Los Angelas Lakers during the NBA 2024 Draft, signing a $7.9 million four-year contract.
